Heavy minded now...

Finding out the reason why can be interesting if the information is there. But when it is not, kinda finding a needle in the sea.

Where's the help when I need? It seem like throwing one corner and ask you to survive throughout. It is no wonder, people come and go.

Typically, I can handle things well.. but right now, due to heavy load on my back, it seem like it is nearly impossible for that to happen. Prepare to get whack for not finding out anytime soon. I am glad I know how everything goes, but I really hope it is not too late.

I still have to recheck if possible. But, I really hope that someone can be there to help me through.

As I neglect the other side and concentrate here, it is going to be very unhealthy.

In short, I am just worried for the lack of stuff that should found out earlier.

This is the first time ever I feel so tense over this Chinese New Year. Sigh... Please... I hope to see some light...

Nevertheless...

It is not easy to be in this line of job. There are a lot of checking, ensuring and guiding at the same time.

In the past, it is purely editing using on computer. For now, it is looking at drawing most of the time. The percentage of using the computer had been kept to the minimal.

Nevertheless, time is the most crucial of all; and I have to stay strong.

That is for sure and I am really hoping for more good things to happen soon.  really...

So many things to check...
So many things to check

My first day of work

Am I excited?

Truthfully, yes. But I felt ashamed of myself that my body is way too weak because I am sick again for these 2 weeks plus. Yesterday, the first day of work made me trembling at work due to the air con blasting over my head.

Therefore, I got a chill and unable to sleep the whole night until 2am. I was told to rest and relax on bed, but I just cannot because I am way too awake. During 10pm, I just kept on coughing non stop!

To think I am now working in the extreme harsh condition on site, I really hope that I can pull through this.

A Long morning walk... Not bad

I am told to buy my safety items, such as: helmet, vest and safety boots.
My new helmet n vest

My new safety boots

For those who do not know, I am now working on site doing mainly S&C, V and PL.

Busy busy busy

I really wonder what I had been busy about recently? Perhaps things like, rushing for client photos, montage, fixing PC, finding maid agency and also meeting up with friends. These really make us very tired tho.

I am glad that I had my new PC rig up recently. The total cost damage is 1.8K from Cybermind, Sim Lim Square.

I know some people will ask me why I go to Choppermind, reason being, I cannot find other shop at that time. And, after deducting the 2% off, the total cost actually bring down by a lot. In fact, it is more or less about the same price to other shop. And, the guy named, Harrison, did provide a good service to me. I am glad and appreciated by all the guides tho.

Appreciate that William, Jien and Hong Jia provide me a lot of valuable information on my new rig.

Guess you must be wondering what is my new rig like?

Here goes:

i7 950
Gigabyte UD3R (1366 pin)
Powercolor HD6870 1Gb PCS+
3 x 2Gb Corsair C7
HX750w Corsair
Thermal Right X RT
Cooler Master 690II Advanced

Also bought 4 more fans on other days to utilise the entire air vent provided.

The only downside:
Side casing fan will produce low frequency sound due to CM design on the air vent.
Wondering if the silent fan will work properly.

As for my old rig, I will pass on my beloved C2Q to my relative! The only changes will be: new HDD with Win 7 Home Premium and perhaps a new casing. The old casing of mine is totally fugly and really can throw in dustbin. Other than that, the system is still behaving well.

I'll talk about more on my next post.
Stay tuned..

It is time for me to rest.

Feeling burnt out

I have not been blogging on personal stuff lately because I am way too busy and so tired doing all kind of things. Time is so limited and I tend to get tired easily these days. Was it because of the energy used on my daughter or?

After finishing up the job, I will try to get myself in shape because this year had been a tiring and fatty bom bom one. It is not good and very unhealthy one.

I have a lot of plans in my mind but I do feel that the route to success can be very tough if I choose it this way. Perseverance is what I needed badly. I am hoping nothing but the success.

Finger cross that everything clear by up this week! I really promise.

Stay tuned on my Facebook as I will be updating the photos after I pass it to my client!  Oh yes, you may want to view a short clip on stop motion that I did for my ex coll. I am glad that everyone love it! If you are interested, do contact me, ok?

I wish I can blog more and show some photos, but time does not allow me to do so.

Let me get the things organise first.

Going bersek

There are changes that I really need to do, but in order to get it done, I have to make sure everything goes well.

It is pretty tough because I have to trial and error until I succeed. I am really hoping that the step will be minimise  and everything will be as smooth as last time.

The VOD, Video On Demand, is driving me crazy and my head is getting bigger because of solving moment,

There are quite a few people who is doing this, hence getting knowledgeable personnel is like finding needle in the sea. Someone could have help me with it, but it seem as if I am the one doing alone.

Frustrated or no?  I have no time for that.

I just hope that whoever trying to do any searching on VOD can drop me a message on how they do it.

Sincerely, I really hope I can solve it nonetheless without any headache.

If anyone say my job is simple, I guess that the person will have to take back their word because there are too many researching to be done.

Back and resting

Ex Wallaby Frame 1 ended and now, there's continuous training for frame 2 and 3 over there. When we board the SQ Boeing 747, quite a number of soldiers were queuing up to past the custom. They also have to wait for the coaches to send them to Camp Growl in SWBTA.

As we board the flight that they just landed, it delay the take off time for an hour 30min or so due to refueling. Everyone concussed while waiting. Estimated arrival time will be 4.40am instead of 3.30am in Singapore. But we end up landed in Singapore at 5am.

My family are unable to fetch me because dad need to work at 5am. So, Kok Peng, Jack and I shared cab home.

It is good to be home tho. But immediately I feel the pressure over here than OZ. Everything is slow, listen to command, relaxing, but we have to handle lots of stuff here, which make me feel giddy over it. But life goes on, strive hard.

NS man feel demoralise because we are back to working life. While some NSF are happy because of ORD. Congrats to the ORD personnels.

I have uploaded lots of photos and if you are interested, just click on the link and view.
There are too many to link to this blog so I decided not to link over here. I shall upload more tonight.

Too many things to do at one go and today is already Wednesday. Time flies fast here.

Ex come to an end

It had been good for the past 2 weeks plus in this major Ex in Australia. Been an NSman myself, I felt like an NSF back then. We work hard and fast with the rest of the NSman as well.

Coming from different batches as a group to do the things together is no stranger to anyone of us. Reason is simple, we do these every time during active days. Of course, rusty in mind is sure to have.

Current soldiers belong to 3G and they are more of a little 'slack and slow' Unlike the past been in 2G, most of us are 'hokkien peng' aka Hokkien Soldiers. We listen to command and execute the task immediately. End of day, what we want is a good rest.

Time changes as well as the Army. Safety is one of top priority nowsday when you go out for training.

We have our fun working along with the NSF, like sharing the stories and knowledge to them. Although some of them are going to ORD soon, but it is always good to share some information with them. As usual, everyone will always talk about the past is tough, it is not easy to go through because of this and that. Active guys are not bored with it at all because they love to listen how the company transform from oldern batch till now.

One day, they will be in our shoes talking to their active juniors in 2-3 years time.

What we love is to 'snook' them big time. 'Snook' is the meaning of making them confuse and stunned with the answer but end up it is not the real one at all. After all, we love to tease them a lot.

It is great to have the NSman coming together and know each other more. Among all, I only know 4 guys which are my juniors and 1 of them been my class mate. There are a total of 9 NSman inclusive of 1 officer coming to this Ex. I am the 2nd oldest batch among all.

I would like to thank the NSman:
LCP Larry, the funny botak guy,
CPL Wen Chong, the 8 hrs man in his funny wet dream,
LCP Kok Peng, my class mate
LCP Victor, 1 batch junior than me
LCP Sam, 2 batches junior than me
LCP Melvin Lim, 2 batches junior than me
LCP Jack, one of the juniors who I never seen before

and lastly the officer,
LTA Lim, NS PC - took over my ex-PC

External Unit
2nd WO Eric

NDU:
Staff Hoon
Staff Yip

Internal Active
OC - CPT Luo
S3 -
CSM - 2nd WO Lim
RQ - 1st WO Alice
PS - MSG Shankar
PC - LTA Lawrence (Outgoing) 2nd Lt Dominick (Incoming)
Sect Com - 1st Sgt Tian Cai
Sect Com - Aruna

And this also goes to all the NSF.

All I can remember are:
Godfrey, Goodwin, Weijie, Meng Hui, Rec Tham, Kian Peng, Cheng, Hulk, Marcus, Cheng CM, Gary, etc...

We have the fun and will be seeing some of them next year May for my 6th ICT. Cool, that means 4 more years to go! Hurray!

We are now packing up and going to have a good relaxation moment real soon. R & R are coming to our way but heard that it is going to be damn bloody boring tho.

Anyway, a good trip and relax Ex for us. In few days time, all of us will be facing the most sickening challenge in Singapore! Work and work!

Oh yeah, a good thing that I brought my laptop here. I can do the photo editing and blogging to kill times. At least not boredom at all. LOL

Yeppoon Yeppoon!

Finally we get to travel down to Yeppoon on Saturday crew rest day! Before heading there, we will be dropping to Target Mall for shopping center first. We did not walk much in the mall but stay put in one shop called: Jay Jays.

There's 3 for $10 tee for sale but pity that I cannot find either any of it that I like or my size. So I walked around the store for 10 min plus until I saw nicer and newer design. The price is 2 for $30 tho. I bought 4 pieces which cost me $60.

P1000759
We fall in and get our briefing before moving out for shopping first

P1000760
Listening carefully

P1000761
We went to somewhere after the shopping center.... hence I continue to snap photos everywhere

P1000762
The old-skool looking bar with XXXX GOLD beer sign board. It look damn 80's inside. Nah.. there's no jackpot in there anyway.

P1000763
Here, this is where we went in. Yes, adult shop! lol

P1000764
Jack thumbs up!

Along the corridor

P1000766

P1000767
After getting back to Target shopping center at the town area, we have to wait for the bus to pick us up to Yeppoon. In front of me were the OZ people having their interaction.

P1000768
Ok, does the girl look pretty? ha!

P1000769
So Melvin went in to buy his new clothes and changed it immediately. Incredible huh. Just look at the bag of clothes he bought! Oh dear!

P1000770
Steaming myself as we got to wait

P1000771

P1000772

And on our way to Yeppoon!

P1000774
Along the way to Yeppoon, the view is spectacular! The grass, mountain and sky look just terrific!

P1000775
Both the mini bus and land cruiser trying beat each other out on road! Fret out, they did not go beyond the speed limit.

P1000783
Reaching Yeppoon real soon!

P1000784
Getting off from the bus, the strong sea breeze immediately hit us. Looking far out to the sea, you can clearly see the horizon. Beautiful!

P1000785
Interacting around. The NSman were the last to arrive as the mini bus were not enough. One of it had to make a 2nd trip. While the rest had their lunch there, we, the NSman decided to hunt for our own food.

P1000786
Pretty huh! There will be more to come!

P1000787

P1000812
Posing with the map

P1000813
And the rest... Yah. I told them to be cheeky!

P1000814
Initially, Larry and I wanted to challenge this steep slope after makan. And here we came and try the damn slope. This is no camera trick. It is that steep.

I teased Kok Peng this is no joke for climbing up when he complained. End up, I am the one who collapse at the top. No joke!

P1000815
We reached the top finally and I am one of the last. I myself sat on the kerb and rested for 10min due to my usual cramp on calf muscle. On the right of this photo is heading down back to the beach while behind of this photo is the place where we climbed.

P1000816
Standing up and shoot!

P1000823
I am damn shag! Pointing to the left where we climbed. Damn the STEEP SLOPE!

P1000824
You cannot even see the road from here as it is going down. Looking far down, that's the place where it led to the beach. Interesting.

P1000826
We walked further more and spot this GREAT View!

P1000827
It is so Lovely!

P1000828
This is the 2nd stage of the slope that we climbed up. Even steeper but short one. I gave up at 3/4 due to the cramp. I always scared that I will fall behind and roll down wards LOL

P1000829
Sitting down and shooting high up. Thats the end point and I gave up at the spot where I shot this.

P1000830
Sam took over the camera and shot Jack, Kok Peng, Larry and Victor when they climbed up on the rock which is just nearby me.

P1000831
This view is not as nice as the one before due to housing blocking. I really wonder who stay here.

P1000832
Larry posing at the top.

P1000833
Change to Sam

P1000834
I went up a little to take this house on sale. It is very grand!

P1000835
Heading down.

P1000836
The wind and scenery is so beautiful that one would love to stay here. But it will not be me. The slope is so steep, and to buy some simple grocery is so pain in the ass.

P1000837
Wen Chong standing on the steep slope. That's how steep it is.

P1000838
And Wen Chong took a pic of me too.

P1000839
We head back to the same place where we climbed up and took a pic of the signboard

P1000840

Our dinner! KFC! YUMMY!!!!!!

We tend to skip our dinner in CQU and prefer to have it outside. Better to have a change of food tho. Our 'delicious' fried rice for everyday lunch is making everyone sick and tired over it. Yucks!

We also want to thanks MSG Shankar travelling up and down for us. And MWO Ganna who helped us a lot on finding the KFC nearby ours hostel.
