A nice weekend

Just before the walk along the train track, we went to pray in the early noon.
It was pretty a hard day as the sun is quite harsh, but the blue sky make me smile. Thanks for the wind too... you bet.

Either walk up or climb up. The slope is pretty steep, so you need to be careful when going there.


I just realised I had been posting too less, and same goes to my photos too. No, no, I told myself... I must shoot and post more. Not to gain anything, but to improve in either way.

Hoping my lowly bad luck fly off!

As my title state...!


Let me point out then.

1: Formatted HDD wrongly. Sent it for recovery and cost me $813 for retrieving back
2: As I parked my car downstair for a while as to get baby down, I gotten $100 fine.
3: While I was reversing the car in the carpark beside Outram OG, I accidentally banged onto the wall!

What a week!

I did not flared when the car kissed the wall,  instead I kept on mumbling about money rolling out again! Got down, checked the car and felt relieved. Only the top tire car body been scratched! It is not as bad as I thought but really low in luck.


I prayed and hope the bad luck will fly off.
Oh yes... I just reformatted my PC (again) because certain program caused some information lost! What a luck, right?

As for now, everything is really fine. (Finger cross)

This morning, I tried transferring my retrieved data by ADRC to another external HDD to back up and it works! No more error from Visual C++! I am overwhelmed when I found our HongKong and family Thailand trip photos!

I shall get back my HDD after this 2 wk of window period given by ADRC. I really wonder how they are going to do if I tell them some photos were not found in the retrieved data. Is there a way or...? Just finger cross first as I hope almost 100% of the photos I wanted are in the disk already. After that, I will write up testimonial for them.

Hmm.. I find that mom is a little possessive towards Cait. Anything always Cait and her. While I can understand that mom dote Cait a lot, but by doing this, she will be spoilt easily. Considering wifey feeling, I must do something in order not to let mom over control of Cait.

So how?

I pen down some information about Cait issue on the other blog.

Mom felt that her coll will be damn snobbish if she pleaded. But if she don't... (sigh)
Everything will remain unknown until tomorrow because today is the rest day for their clinic.

Knowing mom prefer to work because she wanted some income but dad is a little against with the idea tho. But if mom do not work, it means that I got to top up more money for her monthly and I end up stressing myself more.

Look like I have to make sure that certain things that not needed have to terminate off with immediate effect. I'm going to call up Starhub to terminate my Celestial Classic Movie and upsize of channels. Save up better. If Cait is really going to infant care, I have to put a lot more money on it.

My Starhub cable tv bill hit $90+ this month. How incredible.

If you were to ask me to put her in relative house... I'm sorry... I do not think it is a wise choice tho.

Right now, no answer to everything. According to mom, her coll wanted to see doc yesterday, but end up, call again to say she do not want to work on Tuesday. I see some roti prata action.

I had not blog for a week!

It is that I am so busy till I had no time for blogging? Anyway, I finally update my other blog yesterday night. And as for this, I try to break into simple word of thoughts which does not need to explain fully.

Elektron had just release their new product: EHP-700



The difference between this 700 and 606:

606 is Network Media Tank and 700 is purely media player.
What 606 does not have from 700 is optical input (606 do have coaxial), and DD5.1， DTS original data output.

One of the guys who bought this Elektron 606 was hoping to get 700 instead in the forum but been told that firmware for 606 is much stable and 700 been newly launch will definitely face some problem at the start. Great purchase and items on sale!

It was a tiring Saturday for everyone yesterday as in the morning, we went to pray at Waterloo St temple, then head to a small shop where they are selling lots of babies clothing at the very low cost! As everyone tummy is damn hungry, they head to the laksa stall and ordered 3 x laksa and 2 x nasi lemak! Ok, as we are so hungry, I simply cannot bother to take the camera out to snap. Wifey is carrying Cait while eating, and her movement got to be slow and steady, if not nasi lemak rice will drop on her face! LOL.

After mom had finished her meal, she carried Cait off to walk around while wifey and me carry on enjoying the rest of the food. After that, we head to OG to change Cait diaper and at the same time to feed her as well. Without knowing, there's only one baby room located at lvl 3, near the customer service area. While waiting, I had no idea why I did not go to SLS to buy the hdd first. Instead, I kept on waiting until when I mentioned of going to SLS, mom is a little unhappy. Ok, I do not bother and carry on the trip there. As to save some time, I went alone to buy the HDD at VideoPro. Initially, I thought that buying from Cybermind will be better as I can use my CC (no admin fee charge) which the internal hdd of WD 1TB Green cost $152 while VideoPro is $148. When wifey called me, I thought she got the ready cash, so I head to food court to find them and she end up passing me the ATM card! Anyway, I had enough cash to buy the HDD now, so I went to draw the money out and buy the disk at VideoPro. At least I saved $4 from Cybermind and making my CC bills smaller.

I still have my Capitaland Voucher to use so I brought mom, wifey and Cait to Funan to buy my ext hdd! I know that I can buy from SLS, but I need to use the voucher before 25th!

Parking at OG is expensive, for 2hrs, I paid $6 for the carpark! But luckily I went in before ERP operation start.

Again, to save time, I went up to buy the disk at Challenger along. I did some research on the ext hdd which is compatible to use for Wii USBloader. It is weird that my Sandisk thumbdrive of 4Gb suppose to work but it does not, and a pity that I lost my 8Gb drive as according to the chart, there's no issue at all.

I guessed that it is blessing in disguise when I saw that Challenger do not sell 1TB, WD My Book Essential. There's only 640Gb and the 1TB is My Book Home Edition. I almost bought it but I had gut feeling that Cybermind might have the Ext HDD I wanted, so I went down to check it out! It is blessing for me! There's 1TB WD My Book Essential and selling at $199 (I checked up on Cybermind price list before hand, so $199 is the max I am willing to pay). My Book Home Edition is $229 (I reckon) which included FireWire port, and I do not need that, so Essential is the best for me since it is cheaper. Also, luckily Cybermind do accept the voucher of $80! So I paid $119 thru the card.

Oh yes, I did a check on the compatible to use for Wii USBloader， WD My Book Essential is workable and not Home Edition! *Sweat*


Love the WD! External and Internal HDD of 1TB!

WD external is for my backup of photos and I am paritioning now of 10 Gb for Wii USBloader. (Hoping it will work!) And for internal 1TB HDD Green, it is for my NMT which I hope that it will arrive by Friday!

As I am clearing my room, I did some minor arrangement because I wanted to start my music production again. =) So I began to move things around, but there's some stupid smell, as if like Hong Kong foot which is so unbearable! After checking through, wifey and me thought it is the diaper bags that caused it, but we are wrong. It is from my LowePro camera bag after hours of guessing! It covered with salty smell with yucky alcohol smell! Maybe I should consider a new camera bag soon in future.

While moving things away, I decided to get rid of my crumpler bag. I am not using them anymore so, selling off is the best choice. I hereby post this photo on my blog for the potential customer to view.


Selling my 5 yr old crumpler laptop bag which is a B'day gift when I just join my company. I had not use it for a long time and seriously, I do not need it anymore, so I decided to let go.

Yes, obviously there's cupboard smell, and washing is a must. No cut or anything at all. Just that color is a little yellow inside.

Accomplishing the mission

I was always like to accomplish things that I hope for and finally yes, I did it with wifey today. Last Sunday, we were suppose to bring mom and dad to Cafe Cartel but ended up at Din Tai Feng, Jurong Point. So for today, before heading to Sunshine Place for baby Cait injection, we all went to BPP for nice breakfast. Read the rest of the blog at the-ongies.


It is the first time that dad and mom having breakfast in Cartel with us at BPP in the morning for the breakfast.


The food is great and nice except for the bread which is so dry and not munchy at all.

Due to busy time with Cait, we had no time to wash the car thoroughly even with Rajoo's help. There's really too much dirt stuck on the car whereby it is hard to clean it off. I decided to call Benny for help the next time. It need a total wash up for sure.

I am so looking forward to my first NMT set up, but still bothering myself to get a 1TB or 1.5TB or even 2TB? I have to buy within my budget too as the total cost is $318 w/o HDD yet. Just for today, we already spent $480 on injection for Cait immunization.

As mom had craving for curry fish head, we went to Binjai Park to get the wonderful food for her! Thanks to my sis and bro in law recommendation as they bought it previously! Food is good and having that with rice is more than enough! Yum yum. Wifey had been craving for fried oyster ever since the start of pregnancy, and finally today, after waiting for 10mths, she had it! She felt so wonderful and happy too. Now she had stop breast feeding, she is less worry about what food and drinks to take. For that, she is able to spend more times on Cait as well. Plus, she can have more times on internet to read up some news which she missed up a lot!

We seen the new school undergoing renovating today and it is great to see wifey new workplace tho. She is anticipating but also stress when she is back to working life. She had to work even harder for the school as this is the 2nd branch she is setting up, not to forget her boss and great collegaue partner, Joyce, been covering the new branch things ever since she is on ML.

Thanks to my great buddy, Tom Ho, gosh.. thats the first time I wrote his ang mo name! for giving me 8 x banana plugs and long canere cable. But sadly to say that it is not enough for me to run my side surround speaker which I intend to have those 2 mount on the wall near the ceiling. My relative, whom work as electrician before, came over to help me to install the wall fan, also help to take a look of how I should run my audio cables on the ceiling. I wanted to have all my surround speakers mount on wall and having the back surround speakers, Bose, to be replace by Wharfedale. There will be a lot of work to be done, but feeling will be great after doing it. I cannot imagine running all these again at the new place in few years time.

Now I need at least 20m belden cable to run my surround speakers. Only after doing that, then I can start working around with my audessey. Maybe I need to borrow some reading device to read the frequency response. There are a lot to learn when you come to surround sound, which is almost the same when starting up a studio. But I do looking forward the new house setting up with these beast!

As I mentioned earlier that my relative came to help me to install the wall fan, this is the 3rd time he came up. First is to set up all the fans, but 2nd time, the wall fan went dead due to power problem, so replcement is needed. And there's some switching done as well.

But my wall fan in the room went haywire as it does not oscill at all! So I got to tie up to make sure the direction of wind is blowing as us. We end up having our relative came up for the 3rd time to replace this! For sure, never ever buy brands like Toyomi and Iona! Cheap but never lasting at all! At least now we are running KDK in both living and my bedroom. For my parents bedroom, I need to get it for them since my dad bought 2 of it initially. The one and only running well is the computer room. Finger cross.

Now KDK had just increased their pricing after 1 month and I bet that it is because of the insane weather that a lot of people needed fan badly!
