Guideline after getting your stuff

I mentioned during my old post about getting notice, right? Now I shall reveal it. Usenet server approached me to give a try on their server. I agreed because I am not exclusively signed. What I am doing is to provide more information to people who is interested. I am just a reviewer who love to share information, but end of the day, it is your call.

There are a lot of usenet server out there and base on what you should look, that is your call. Which is important?
-Usetnet provider
-Retention days
-Cost
-Connections

Each have their own good point. For now, I am not talking about usenet server but aftermath.

Please bear in mind that nzb server is payable and it is not free at all. Take nzb as torrent, you need to go to the site and find what you want and download that.

After getting your nzb file, you need a program to 'talk' to nzb files. Altbinz and Grabit. They will get the nzb files to connect to the server you subscribe to and get it download. They have the stuff you want in their server.

Just make sure how many retention days does your server provider have. If they have up to 300 days, it means you cannot get stuff after 300 days, because the server will delete it off to have new stuff in it.

When you had gotten your stuff, there will be a lot of rar files found in the folder. Why is that so? Here explain clearly. It is meant to make is friendly.

For a 40Gb of items, be prepare to see approximately 180 -200 over rar files.

And how do you do it? Highlight all of them, right click and click extract to.

In a folder, you find even find weird extension like: rar.1, rar.2 etc... These are the one you should not select them at all.

My usual practise is to open just 1 rar file, up one level and highlight them before extract it. Here's some screenshot.


After opening the 1st rar, click the following button: Up One Level.

Highlight all of them with the ending of .rar extension and click Extract To button.


It will start reading your files.


In order to prevent time waste, please use QuickPar to open par2 file to check which are the incomplete or errors file in it

If you gotten some Par files downloaded. you are lucky, because they can help to fix the error you face. If you only have 1 par downloaded, chances of fixing is almost to zero.

That means you got to find another source.

Tiring!

Ok, after this blogging, I really to dive on my bed and Zzz whole night. Slept for few hours as I got to burn some stuff for 10 people tho and the quantities are a lot! This morning, wifey and me head to Compass Point, Seng Kang for breakfast with other mummies too. I cannot imagine we, been in the west side, went all the way to east for breakfast! LOL. The feeling of having breakfast with so many people is interesting! There are 6 mummies and 4 daddies having makan session together. 2 Daddies cannot make it due to work and tired.

Food is ok as I have never eaten breakfast in Swensen before, but seriously, I will prefer authentic hawker food! Haha!

After the whole breakfast thing, both wifey and me along with Cait went to Rangoon Rd to collect sticker.


Gotten the sticker from Flamez Graphic at Rangoon Rd earlier today. Had ordered this in MCF and had the number 248 printed as well. Never knew my nick had been print out too!

The reason why the sticker had been place there is to cover the scratches I had on this car.

Price is not cheap but worth it. Had this sticker paste by one of the guys in the shop and they do provide installation if you ask for help. One of the guy came to me and mentioned that one of the forumers complaint that they did not help to do installation after paying so much! I am glad that they helped me with it tho. Great job by them. The guy also told me that the price is high due to chrome surface and of course, you can polish the car over it as it had lamination over it for protection.

Wifey told me to have the sticker place on the bumper which is a good choice after all.

I want to have the car polish nicely from the shop because it is ultra dirty now! I do not have time to wash it tho! Let alone to talk about watching my movies and playing games.

William dropped by yesterday to help me installing some files to the phone and PC but due to some error face and time duration, I decided not to go on installing Garmin on my phone. Next time I should go buy the GPS machine instead. I also have one of the program to help me out on finanical planning. Thanks William (again)

NMT is not here yet due to Dragon Boat Festival, so finger cross about it. I saw Panny 60 at NM selling at $599 and I was so tempted! Was looking and calculating the time spend on watching and buying disc, I drop the idea off as it does not compromise at all. NMT still the best for me now. I am sure Panny 60 price will drop in near future.

Another thing I am so tempted is camera Panny LX 3! I tried the cam from one of the mummies during this morning outing, the output is nice and great! I shall see if I can get it next time, and pretty sure to say that it worth of any and penny to get this cam! 2 thumbs up!

I had not blog for a week!

It is that I am so busy till I had no time for blogging? Anyway, I finally update my other blog yesterday night. And as for this, I try to break into simple word of thoughts which does not need to explain fully.

Elektron had just release their new product: EHP-700



The difference between this 700 and 606:

606 is Network Media Tank and 700 is purely media player.
What 606 does not have from 700 is optical input (606 do have coaxial), and DD5.1， DTS original data output.

One of the guys who bought this Elektron 606 was hoping to get 700 instead in the forum but been told that firmware for 606 is much stable and 700 been newly launch will definitely face some problem at the start. What everyone are waiting for Elektron China is to launch their DTS firmware for EHP606. Since EHP700 come with DTS, Elektron China should put more effort on the DTS source for 606! They had been delaying months after months!
