Great and tasty western food

It is nice to meet my ex schoolmate at IMM last week while having lunch with my coll. He also urged us to pay a visit to his stall located at West Coast Road as he is selling western food. How ironic to eat with a chef in western food restaurant in IMM.

Not to disappoint him, half of us went down to his stall on Monday! Thanks June, William, Jo, Jien and Yan Fen supporting my friend, Brian, stall.

This old pal of mine, was a naughty boy during school time, and I really mean it. He is! After years gone by, everyone changed and so does him, becoming more polite, gentleman, and handsome. His cooking skill is remarkably high as he won some sort of prize at the position of silver in whole Singapore. He also further went on for another global competition and gotten quite a good position. I can't remember tho.

There will be new menu coming out end of this month as told by him. Restaurant standard but affordable price. What's more to grumble about, right?

Jien and I kinda dislike pumpkin soup until we had our first taste of it which are complimentary from Brian. Thanks for the 3 FOC soup, tho.

After the photoshoot with Cait, she left behind a wonderful liquid for me... which is on my background paper!

I am having some situation on my camera yesterday while shooting. In short to say, my CCD might be the issue because all images appear to have black gradient on the bottom of the photo. While on portrait, it will on the right side. I tried on C1Pro and preview images on camera, changed lense.. it still appear to give me this issue.

I shot without lense and everything is white, but once I attach the lense in and did swop it, I'm still facing the same problem. Weird, right? After I turn off and on for the third time, it appear to be ok once again! Luckily issue did not appear when I am doing the wedding ROM shoot last weekend!

I finally have time to do touch up on RAW photos. I am hoping to give the photos by 19th Oct!

Office birthday celebration food

As usual, our company never fail to celebrate everyone birthday every month.

Delicious Tau Sa Piah

After going to ION Orchard, wifey and I decided to go to the famous Tau Sa Piah stall at Balestier which her friend told us about at TMC before. It is just opposite only!

I missed the opportunity to buy during wifey stay in TMC, so I insist of getting it yesterday as we were around the corner. Wifey went to check out but to her surprise, there were approximately 20 peoples queuing up! Since the wait is going to be long, I parked the car elsewhere and head up to join the queue.

We queued up nearly for an hour to reach our turn. As not to waste the effort, I ordered 20 pieces of salty and sweet Tau Sa Piah in box of 10 each. Their expectation is quite high tho. For those that is not baked nicely, they charge $0.40 each, which is $0.20 cheaper. I heard it when the auntie told the customer that if they mind as the piah does not look pretty. Just to confirm the amount of piah, I also asked if there's 10 in a box and she told me as well that since it does not look pretty, so charge $0.40 instead.

Taste great anyway! Worth the long wait! No wonder aunite pack slowly as she is choosing the beautiful one for the customer.

Lunch at Swensen

Finally everyone from the audio department went for Swensen today at Compass Point to do lunch. Every year, our office will give the everyone a share of $50 to do some simple celebration. But for our department, we prefer to do lunch/ dinner together.

There are a bit of restriction because we have 2 Muslim gals as well, so we must look out for Halad restaurant. Not everyone is free everyday so yesterday during meeting, everyone decided to go for Swensen today for the 1 for 1 treats!

Not to forget that today is the last day for 1 for 1 treats. Luckily everyone can make it.

12 of us had to separate out to 6 in a group. Had my fill but seriously, I am still hungry!

Monday... Monday!

AS wifey had craving towards Japanese food, we head up to BPP instead. While we had been ushered in, Dicky saw me and phone to scold for taking over so fast. LOL. Wifey is so sweet that she bought Dicky's son a small box of chocolate cream coronet. No images as I forgotten to put in SD card in it and the on camera memory went full.

Lost of appetite

Due to yesterday big feast, I have no appetite for any food today and felt kinda headache tho. Maybe due to crab which has high cholesterol? Anyway, I decided to give myself a break by not eating initially, but I end up asking Keith for cereal by Quakers.

Well, ended sugar in it and at least it does not taste a bit weird except for been too bland. And also, I made it way too sticky thus I felt a little hard to eat tho.


Simple breakfast I gotten from coll. Made it too sticky and it really does not taste so good though I added only one packet of sugar.

Healthy matters so I force myself to it.

Why is it so hot?!!!

Yesterday night was filled with cold and nice feeling weather but for today, it is way opposite. I bathe quite a number of times today! I bet that its my long hair that made me feel so hot! I need to go cut and maybe color it since there's package to use. lol

It is way too steam day for me. Way too stoner to do anything. I did not process any photos that I took it yesterday. Instead, the only thing that I am doing currently is to backup every single .tiff file. So that there's enough space for other shoot. I guess that I be browsing through the photo tomorrow after I get back home from IPT. I had to make it snappy since the deadline is very near us. There are couple of things that I want to reshoot as the props were not enough. I began to realise some mistake occured and intend to tell Kel about it tomorrow when I see him online. There will be rules that we should follow, unless otherwise for certain situation. I am really hoping to get a real standalone studio where we can really start working on it. Space is the main issue.

Despite of getting mild gout, I still bought roasted duck today at Jurong West. A pity that the whole market had been closed for renovation and all the temporary stalls had been moved to the bus stop area where the main road are. Look weird but it does feel like Pasar Malam. I didn't brought my camera, so no photos.

My wife and me had breakfast there, she having fried carrot cake (black), which I do not really fancy black because of the sweet taste and made me feel so sick over it after few mouth, and while me had wanton mee, guess that Jurong East market is much better. I usually do not take this as my breakfast, but for Sunday, it is exceptional. Why? No idea, but I miss Tiong Bahru curry rice. LOL

The roasted duck that we bought is actually Peking Roasted Duck, costing $13.90. Since my wife got craving over it, why not? Since I been cutting down some certain food, and had been putting knee guard and drank Golden Needle for reducing of my uric acid, I decided to buy without thinking. My mom did ate it as she had her fill at Malaysia before coming back. My dad and me went to one of the bus stop outside Tang Dynasty, Taman Jurong to fetch my mom as the bus enter into Singapore by Tuas. She had fun and I am glad she is happy for her trip. Now, she is already asleep since 8.30pm. LOL. Guessed that the journey for her is very tiring. She asked if She called and she is waiting for her call. So I hope to see some reaction. Be happy and nice, everything will be fine. Period.

I am proud that the shot we did received quite a number of positive remarks. A good start for ahead. Many appreciated.

Tiring and bad planning for the day, but great night yesterday!

As I am waiting for William to cycle here to get his D810 PDA phone, I shall just blog it. Strong gusty wind kept blowing from my left side and made me hair messy even more. Yes, my window is on the left and I can feel rain drops splashing in by little. Poor William insisted to cycle here when I told him I can pass it to him tomorrow. End up, by the time I send my 2nd SMS, he is on the road and not able to read my SMS.

Wifey, dad and me head to Clementi near NUS side to have great dinner at The Cheese Prata Shop.

(At this point of time, William had arrived and I went down to pass him the phone and had some chit chat for near 30min before he carry on his journey back home to meet his pal for supper. It was still raining at that time but were not as heavy as earlier on. I guided him how to get away from the slope portion at my area so that he can continue his usual route back. I hope that he manage to find the road properly. LOL)

I shall carry on my blogging.

Early this morning after sending my wife and her coll to Ulu Pandan CC, I head to studio for product shoot. It was easy because that's the first time I see the bags. Before we start, both of us went for breakfast since it was just 930am. I had fish ball noodle and even though the food is nice, the amount of noodle isn't nice! For $3 I paid, I got the mee pok at the size of my fist! What the hell... the food price range are $3, $3.50 and $4. It was still in the morning and I decided not have my tummy too fill.

Kelvin and me head back and carry out the shoot until noon time! Which I myself did not realise at all!! It is only when both of us felt hungry and I thought I am just been too pig! Hell no... It was 1pm when I saw the timing. Again, we head out to have our fill with Lin. We had chicken rice at the other kopitiam, which Kelvin claimed that it is VERY good. I do believe it is nice tho, but all of us were not full! I decided to take a step back since I wanna 70% filling only.

There's one incident that both Kel and me saw in the morning while walking back to studio. One Mazda 3 turn left and almost hit the cyclist and even gave a loud horn at them. Of course the cyclist got the shock as they are just cycling along the pedestrian walkway at the junction. I saw the cyclist kept pointing to the driver and shown that stupid driver that it was GREEN MAN! The driver got a boo boo morning... period.

Anyway, product shoot is not that easy because we spent a total of 7 hrs for just 2 items. This is due to poor planning and execute wrongly plus all of us were not in the right mind. Guess that the aftermath shoot from talent is causing us been too mono on products. LOL. I shall not disclose the brand until further notice and look out for the real change of this brand!

We are suppose to go to Green House, Ritz Carlton for buffet session as my wife's boss is giving treat. A total of 10 ppl will be heading including us, but both of us opt out due to our tiredness plus I find it too costly to eat there and I do not feel easy for someone to treat me since I am not the member of the school. THis is just my principal. And my wife is not feeling well and of course, I wanna have dinner with my dad since no one is at home to accompany him.

Yesterday after knock off, I drove to Prinsep St which is opposite Parklane. In order to get away from jams and ERP along CTE, I decided to go by longer way. From my office, bloody hell, I got to park my car all the way at the back as there's some stuff going on in front! What pisses me is that why are there cars not having their car park label still can drive in without getting clamp? This is unfair for people who bought the label! I was behind a rubbish chute truck at the back and thought that the truck gonna make a stop, I decided to go by another lane which is meant for turn right only. I realised that I made a wrong decision, because there are cars lining up before the traffic light. I got no choice but to turn right and make a BIG detour before I am at Hougang Ave 2. Sigh. From there, I went by Serangoon road all the way up to Sim Lim Square. As shown at ERP board, $2.50! I got a shocked and saw that the timing is from 6.05pm - 6.30pm I reckon. It was 6.29pm and everyone in the car drove kinda slow and hoping to see changes in price after 6.30pm. Just I going to pass under the ERP by 100m, it hit 6.30pm and immediately the price drop to $2! Phew!

I reached earlier then the rest and managed to find a lot along the public carpark near Mr Bean. I went in to Sunshine Plaza while waiting for my wife who took a bus there from MP since it is faster. It was Shiying Birthday and she decided to meet up at The Mind Cafe. That is the first time I went there with my wife. Apart from us, there's Gail and one of their schoolmate, Baozhen. We had our fill at the cafe and decided to play some card and board games. It is a very interesting place whereby people can drop by for food and play games with their own friend! Of course, your friend got to be sporting! Noisy and laughing were heard and it seem like everyone does enjoy themselves. It is not usual or easy to get together and play games with your own friend!

Seriously speaking, I do like the place and do not mind going there again! Of course, need more sporting friend. And yah... too intellectual does not suit me. I am rated best as describing things! The game I had fun is Taboo. Things about thinking hardly to catch the criminal is out of question to me.

I scared that they cannot hold the camera properly. Look like I will have flash light instead. Also, thanks to Shiying because the Mind Cafe booking and food were all paid by her. Thanks.

Good luck to William as he wanted to take some shot of his mountain bike because he just spent $5000 on Voodoo biking frame. Nice!

Since my wife is on leave tomorrow, all of us can sleep slightly longer due to our tiredness. I had not slept till late for over months. I shall have my haircut tomorrow and maybe some coloring. LOL.
