Capture One Pro

I should not be so lazy. To think that one of the shoot is coming up soon, until now I started fixing my strobe light, camera and do a trial run with my macbook. I got a fright that the camera did not tether with the macbook at all! I meant... the program tho.

To my understanding and base on PC method; to use Capture One Pro with 5D, Canon EOS Utility must be activate in order to let it read to Capture One Pro program. However, while I am not a true Mac user, I had quite a tough time figuring out. Tested that the strobe and camera works properly, I left it on to warm up since I had not power them for a period of time.

While doing that, I also trying to figure why it cannot work on Mac since everything had launched. Under the camera status, "Connecting to camera" had been seen but there's no use at all because it kinda been hang for few min later. Even when I plug out the USB cable from Mac, which is connected to my camera, it is still connecting. Tried few times by closing and open the program again but it never work.

Back to PC, I tried and it works flawlessly. That made me quite grumpy initially. I posted in the forum at Doorhof site, a great guy who love to share his thought with others. He is a great photographer and willing to tell us more stuff about Elinchrom and Leaf product. Ok, he is not a C1Pro user but that can at least give me some help.

After posting, I plug the USB out from PC and back to Mac. Connecting to camera is still running. Suddenly a thought came and I attempt to off the Canon Utility. Darn... it works!!! It connect straight away. What a clever Mac way of doing!

I tested the shot, found the folder where it all hidden, tried processing it to TIFF, and yes it works fine. Great! Immediately, I went back to the forum and delete the post. I almost wanted to ask in CS forum as well tho... Luckily I had not posted anything yet. That goes to Phaseone Forum as well, at the mean time they are under maintenance. Luckily I managed to find it tho!!! WOO!
